Sunday 9th October 2016 - It's my birthday today, which, you'll have to forgive me, I found a little bit confusing at first, especially after yesterday's extravagance.
Fortunately, I was able to steady my nerves, with a touch of Duplo (and a ride or two on the Thomas rollercoaster) and was soon back into the swing of things.
Which was just as well because shortly after breakfast and a quick change of costume into my new dino-pyjamas, Grandma Kay and Granddad Mel arrived - with more presents!
After they were open I soon set Granddad to work on the railway.
And I even got to blow out some more candles, with Clara's help.
Once we'd eaten lunch, we said goodbye to Grandma and Granddad and then Mummy and Daddy decided to wait until the sky was thick with rain clouds before taking me out for a birthday walk round the lake.
We fed the ducks and then we decided to head off on a bear hunt, climbing over rocks, kicking our way through leaves and swishing our way through long wavy grass.
Of course, pretty much as soon as we found the bears the heavens opened and we had to run through the rain all the way back to the car. I didn't mind though, it was great fun dashing through the storm and it made coming home and sitting on the radiator all the cosier. If every day is like today, full of adventure, family and fun I think I'm going to like being 2.
