Wednesday 24th February 2016 ~ Today we went to the park and had a ride on the horsey horsey don't you stop. We just couldn't stop my sister from pulling silly faces...
Tuesday 16th February 2016 ~ Today we went to the Owls play centre and for a walk around the lake. We met this giant duck, which Grandad says is called a swan.
Sunday 14th February 2016 ~ Today was Valentine's Day but I was in a grump, even though the day started with roses and chocolates!
We left our little cottage by the sea and drove to boring old Rye, where we went to a pub for lunch. I didn't really enjoy it at all. Daddy said it's probably because Rye is for old retirees with dogs and not for little boys who want to go on exciting adventures...
...but we did drive to Pett Level beach for a very last adventure before our journey home. I wanted to look for dinosaur fossils and sunken forests...
...but it was far too cold so I was bundled back in the car for the journey home. Luckily I slept the whole way and woke up just as we arrived in Highams Park.
Saturday 13th February 2016 ~ Today, we ventured forth, braving the wind, rain and a very large orange man to take a ride on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Miniature Railway. Initially, I have to admit I was pretty sceptical about the whole thing, I mean, how exciting could it be?
Let me tell you, very exciting!
Although not as exciting as Daddy (obviously).
Eventually, we made it to Dymchurch. Daddy said it looked like the end of the world and Mummy appeared on the verge of tears, but it turned out it was just the driving rain - she soon cheered up when we found the arcades, a dream of ever-shifting 2p pieces.
After playing the slots, we had a slap up feed of fish and chips and then it was back on the train again, this time a magnificent steam engine.
We puffed and huffed all the way home, happy and ready for more holiday fun.
Friday 12th February 2016 ~ Today we travelled to the coast to stay in a cottage by the sea in a place called Jury's gap. The cottages were built to watch out for smugglers
Mummy said it was like being at the end of the earth!
I was very excited to get out of the car and head to the beach for a walk
It was just a short walk from the cottage to the sea. We could see the sea from mine and Clara's bedroom
We had a walk along the beach and collected stones and shells before heading back into the warm and then to the pub for dinner
