Day Two Hundred and Thirty-Two

Thursday 28th May 2015 ~ Today Mummy took Clara and me to St Paul's Cathedral. There wasn't anywhere for me to play or much for me to see but I didn't mind

Day Two Hundred and Thirty-One

Wednesday 27th May 2015 ~ Today Mummy took Clara and me to the Waterworks Nature Reserve where we met Henry and his Mummy for a picnic and a play on the grass. It was so sunny and warm, I needed my sun hat!

Day Two Hundred and Thirty

Tuesday 26th May 2015 ~ Being home wasn't too bad at all. Grandma and Grandad came armed with  delicious spaghetti bolognese and fish pie and we had our lunch in the garden!

We had a lazy day, which was good after so much excitement on holiday

Day Two Hundred and Twenty-Nine

Monday 25th May 2015 ~ Here's me at our last breakfast of the holiday. Sob!
There was time for a quick play in Kids club and then it was the long journey home. I was glad to get back in my own bed. I looked up and smiled and fell fast asleep (for a couple of hours anyway!)

Day Two Hundred and Twenty-Eight

Sunday 24th May 2015 ~ Today was our last day of holiday so I made the most of our last day of holiday food. Mummy's not sure how she's going to manage when we get home!
Luckily there was time for a final play in the children's swimming pool. I really loved going down the slide into the water with my Daddy...
...and I've become a real pro at moving around the swimming pool in my rubber ring
I'd probably start climbing these stairs if they'd let me
Another great afternoon. I hope we can go swimming when we get home

Here are some lovely photos of me and my Daddy on our last night of holiday watching the sun set
And here are some with me and my Mummy
And tonight I got up on the stage at mini disco for a dance while my sister ran around with Archie!
Hey Baby!

Day Two Hundred and Twenty-Seven

Saturday 23rd May 2015 ~ Today I did some really good standing.. I actually pulled myself up on my Daddy's leg. Mummy thinks I'll be walking in no time. Watch out world, I'm coming to get you!
I'm still loving mealtimes. I'm all smiles and squeals as soon as Daddy puts me in my highchair. I clap my hands sometimes too, especially when he puts all kinds of delicious things on my tray
I've been teething as my top teeth are coming through...
...heres' the first one!

Day Two Hundred and Twenty-Six

Friday 22nd May 2015 ~ This morning we went to the castle park. Clara played with her new friend Archie and I played with my Daddy. Giddy up!
At lunchtime, we went to a restaurant on a beautiful beach up the coast from the hotel. I had fish and octopus and bread!
I got very tired by the end of lunch and tried to tell my Daddy...
...eventually he understood and took me for a nap by the sea

Day Two Hundred and Twenty-Five

Thursday 21st May 2015 ~ What I've learnt is that holidays are all about food. Here's me having lunch with my Daddy...
I have mastered the art of eating in less than two weeks. It's amazing what an all inclusive holiday buffet can do. My favourite things are bread and croissant and cake. I don't mind a bit of fruit either but I don't have much time for broccoli. I tend to mush it up with my hands, throw it on the floor and then blow raspberries until I get something better!
After swimming Clara had a babyccino
I didn't mind a bit of that either

Day Two Hundred and Twenty-Four

Wednesday 20th May 2015 ~ This afternoon, I fell asleep in my buggy after lunch and when I woke up, Mummy and Daddy had embarked on an adventure. We were heading across a beautiful beach towards Santa Maria
I didn't want to stay in the buggy, I wanted to see the sea so Mummy put me into my carrier. She couldn't get me to wear my sunhat though. I kept waving it around and throwing it into the sea!
The sea looked and sounded amazing and we walked right by it all the way
It was a really long way, all along the sand, up and down a big sand dune and around the bay...
...after a while, the sand got deeper and the sea started coming in, which made the buggy harder for Daddy to push. My sister didn't want to walk so we swapped. Here I am, in the buggy, under my sunshade, being pulled along the sand by my Daddy!
It was a really long way but we made it in the end. Daddy had a cold beer and insisted on a taxi home

Day Two Hundred and Twenty-Three

Tuesday 19th May 2015 ~ Look at me all dressed up in my holiday clothes and on the way to kids club
I can now commando crawl quite quickly through this whole tunnel...
...and I'm really quite pleased with myself!
And here's me and my sister in our pod before swimming. Mummy says we're thick as thieves but I don't know what she means
After a day of playing, swimming and eating, we went to the Mini Disco. I was ready for my bed but enjoyed watching my sister dance around

Day Two Hundred and Twenty-Two

Monday 18th May 2015 ~ This afternoon I had a little sleep with Daddy in our pod next to the pool.
You might think that this holiday has been all about eating and relaxing in the sunshine but a lot has happened too - I have grown a new tooth at the top on the left, I can high five (which makes me laugh), I can wave and clap my hands too (usually at dinnertime) and Mummy is sure I've doubled in size

Day Two Hundred and Twenty-One

Sunday 17th May 2015 ~ Today we went into Santa Maria, a little town down the coast from our hotel. I had a sleep on Daddy while my sister watched the men fishing on the jetty
Mummy said I was lucky I wasn't a Cape Verdean baby otherwise I'd be lying in my buggy next to my Mummy gutting a big pile of fish...
Instead I had a nice walk along the beach, looking at the colourful fishing boats...
...and splashing in and out of the sea

Day Two Hundred and Twenty

Saturday 16th May 2015 ~ This evening, Daddy and me both wore our holiday shirts. Mummy called me mini me and Daddy said I looked like someone from Miami vice or a mafia boss on holiday. I don't know what they mean
We walked down to the beach as the sun was going down in the sky...
...and Daddy carried me as we walked along the sand. Look at me all cosy and happy...
We walked in and out of the sea...
...Mummy, Daddy and Clara stood in the sea and I listened to the waves crashing in and out
I'm having such a good time... and there's still time for dinner before bed!
