Monday 2nd February 2015 ~ Mummy and me went to see Inherent Vice at the cinema, which Mummy says was a film adaptation of a book by Thomas Pynchon. It was about a private detective who was trying to solve a mystery, only he spent most of the time stoned, in a smokey haze, which made it hard for Mummy to figure out where the drugs ended and real life began and vice versa. She said she enjoyed looking at Joaquin Phoenix and listening to the great soundtrack but there were a lot of people in the film who did a lot of talking and a lot of babies crying in the cinema (in real life). Mummy said that she thought it was probably really clever (Pete Bradshaw called it a "delirious triumph") but she thinks she missed some important chunks and would need to see it again. I had no idea what was going on.
7/10 (for now)
